Sports celebrities confirmed for The First Annual Station Mall/Rotary Charity Golf Classic
The Sault Greyhounds are about to kick off their fall training with a bang! This August 27th The Station Mall will team up with the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie to host the Sault Greyhounds and other sports celebrities in the Sault’s premier golf tournament. There will be a lot of big names on the greens such as Darnell Nurse, Sergey Tolchinskyand even Blake Speers. But that’s not all! They have also confirmed NHLers Tyler Kennedy and Jake Muzzin. And the best part is that each of these players will play with a Classic foursome!
This tournament is open to the public, but spots are filling up fast. The format will be a 5 person scramble with a local sports celebrity chosen at random as your 5th player. Registration is open to single players right up to teams of four.
Why are all these hometown heroes teaming up? This tournament is a fundraiser for the Children’s Rehabilitation Centre – Algoma. The Centre does a lot of important work for children and youth with long-term disabilities. Staff members focus on helping children and youth reach their potential and independence in the areas of physical, perceptual, communication and/or developmental challenges.Being a part of this event is something you can be proud of.
The cost of registration is $200 per person which includes:
- A player prize (Bauer golf shirt $50 value)
- $50 tax receipt
- Lunch & Dinner
- High end prize table (minimum value $50, i.e. putters, golf shoes, wedges, gift certificates etc.) with no company logo items on the table.
- A chance to win a $10,000 shopping spree from the Station Mall, a 2 year lease on a Ford Fiesta from Maitland Motors, or $3500 golf merchandise gift card courtesy of World Cars.
- One person will win a Toshiba tablet valued at $450
There will be an auction for some great items:
- 4 tickets to the upcoming Outdoor Game in Detroit, one night’s accommodations and a limo to and from your hotel
- Autographed Soo Greyhound Jersey by Wayne Gretzky courtesy of Maione Collectables
- Dinner for 8 courtesy of and catered by Arturo’s at your house along with a $200 LCBO gift card and a limo for your guests to and from your house
