White Elephant Sale at the Armouries

EDIT – DEC 5th:  The location has been changed from the Armoury to now be hosted at the Elks Lodge at 216 Bay Street.  Same date and time!

It’s the third day of December (already) and after a hectic move for Sault Online last week we are back to business as usual.  The holiday spirit is already reaching a fevered pitch in our slushy city, with Toystock taking place last weekend to the many festive events planned for the rest of the month to further increase your cheer.

And what better place to cheer than the Armories located at 375 Pine Street, which is hosting a White Elephant Sale & Bazaar this Saturday December 7th between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

In case you’re like me and are wondering, “What’s a White Elephant Sale?” I’ll save you the Googling and summarize that it’s a marketplace consisting of new and used items whose sale usually goes towards a charity or a non-profit organization.  In this case, all funds are going towards our local Navy League (N.L.C.C. Newman) and Sea Cadets (R.C.S.C.C. Royal Sovereign).

There, you’ll see tables set up with food and beverage sales, new and gently-used items, collectibles, jewellery, plus vendors such as Avon, Arbonne, Sunset Gourmet, Javita, Lia Sofia, Pampered Chef, and more.  Vendors and individuals who have goods that they’d like to sell can do so with the purchase of a table available for $25.  Donations of goods are also gratefully accepted.

Admission is by donation only, which also goes directly to support both corps activities including all equipment, uniforms, travel, competitions, swimming pool access, etc.  It is free for all youth ages 9-13/12-18 to join, participate and experience.  If you would like more information on the N.L.C.C. Newman and the Sea Cadets, you can find it on the following links:
