Congratulations to all those who entered

The snow has settled and the votes have been tallied, automatically (thanks Facebook), and we have a winner to Sault Online’s first photo contest: “Pretend it’s Summer”.

Sault Online member “Ficksquoose” will be earning a cool $100 for his winning entry “Pool Party BBQ”. You gentlemen braved the cold and proved that you’re not going to be bullied by winter.

Another hearty congratulations goes out to runner up “ledner62” for his photo titled “BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR” (I counted the Rs). Ledner62 will be receiving a second place prize of $50 as well as the admiration of dog owners who do silly things, such as play tug of war with their pups while dressed according to weather.

Second Place Winner for Brrrrr

We’ve collected all the names of people who had voted over Facebook and randomly selected one. Congratulations goes to Brittany Kennedy, who will be receiving a participation prize of $25.

It was a really fun contest and we’re happy that we had so many people take part. We’d like to thank “shaleecalvert1” for her photo, “Two Cute Sunbathers” and also to user “tamaman” for his creative, “Sault Snow Biker”. They were both wonderful submissions and we’d love for you to join in the fun for the next photo contest

Finally, we’d like to thank everyone who voted over Facebook and made this contest a fun competition. Without you, we would have had to go through the trouble of choosing a winner for ourselves, and we’re an indecisive bunch.

Do you like these photo contests? Would you like to see a “Pretend It’s Winter” contest in July? What other contest would you like to see Sault Online host? Let us know in the comments below.
