The weather was great! Sunny with blue skies, the cold present, but the energy that spectators and festival goers had made the temperatures an afterthought. We watched children undertake the Snow Canoe Challenge, carrying waterproof containers which rivaled their height. We watched the smallest of dogs cut through the snow, pulling behind them sleds with such ease and perhaps the slightest pomposity. Not to be outdone, we cheered on the larger dogs who, verbally or otherwise, practiced their negotiation techniques with their owners. Sure they could pull the sled with ALL the cinder blocks piled on, but that’s like…work, man.
