Seedy Saturday is coming!

From our friends over at the Sault Ste. Marie Horticultural Society

Feeling dragged down by winter? Well, cheer up! Seedy Saturday, the kick off to the gardening season, is coming up in just a few weeks!

seedy saturdayThis year’s event at Sault College on March 1 promises to be just as fantastic as last year’s, with a seed exchange, seeds for general sale, other gardening items for sale, gardening talks, children’s activities, farmers market vendors, and much more! Check out the poster at the bottom of this post for more details about Seedy Saturday, which is brought to you by Seeds of Diversity, the Sault Ste. Marie Horticultural Society, Clean North, and USC Canada.

And that’s not all! This event will also feature a screening of the highly acclaimed film Vanishing of the Bees, narrated by Ellen Page. This film centers on the sudden disappearance of honey bees from beehives around the world, caused by the poorly understood phenomenon known as colony collapse disorder or CCD.
