20 Minute Makeover

Time is running out to register for the 3rd Annual 20-Minute Sault Ste. Marie Makover wich will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd. Show your support by taking 20 minutes of your time to help improve your surroundings and our Naturally Gifted Community on Earth Day!

The community is invited to participate in the 3rd Annual 20-Minute Sault Ste. Marie Makeover on April 22, 2014.

To take part, registered participants are required to clean-up outside their home or business for at least 20 minutes, for example picking up litter or removing illegal graffiti. The intent of the event is to promote civic pride and community beautification, and celebrate Earth Day!

Registered participants will receive a clean-up kit that contains gloves, garbage bags, and other items – while supplies last. Registration will begin on March 24, 2014 until the day of the event. Please find the registration form here.

New to the event this year is a focus on illegal graffiti removal. As a result, the City’s Graffiti SWAT Team will be on the lookout to identify illegal tagging in the downtown core to tackle it’s removal.

Participants can drop off their completed registration forms and pick-up clean-up kits at several locations:

  • Civic Centre Lobby
  • Walmart North Courtesy Desk (Great Northern Road)
  • Downtown Association Office (496 Queen St. E.)

Event kick off will take place at the Civic Centre at 11 a.m. on April 22, 2014.
