SUTTON, Marjorie “Maisie” Louise (Mclean), of Sault Ste. Marie, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014 in her 101st year.
Maisie was born in Georgetown, Guyana to Emily (Archer) and Norman McLean on May 30, 1913. Maisie is preceded in death by her husband, John Archibald, her sisters Iris Stoll, Elma Shepherd, and Doris Applewhaite and her brother Eddie. Maisie is survived by her children, Gerard (Cynthia) and Jennifer of Sault Ste. Marie, Fadilah Muhammad (Al Amin) of Athol MA. She was the inspirational grandmother to Michael (Amanda) and Craig (Dana) Sutton, Lerato Vilakazi-Jackson (Marcus), Tariq, Suni, Bahjah, Mahasin, Faheem (Sashka) and Aabidah Muhammad. Great Grandmother to Palmer, Braelyn Maisie, Alivia, Thandi, Neo, Ciyanne, Sitarra, Khali, and Shakir. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial, committal service with reception to follow will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 10 am at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre 705-759-2522.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Red Cross.
