Sault Police Arrest

Teen Arrested in Robbery
A 16 year old male was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and charged with robbery in regards to an incident from May 3rd of this year. It is alleged that the young person took an undisclosed amount of cash from an elderly woman. The youth will appear in court on June 17th.

35 year old Cindy Morissette of 29 Albion Street was arrested at the Great Northern Road Walmart after she allegedly stole $458 worth of merchandise. At the time of the alleged offence the accused was on probation order which she breached. Morissette is scheduled to appear in court on Monday June 16th.

63 year old Melody Morden of 344 Dacey Road was arrested and charged with breaching her undertaking. Morden had been released in November of 2013 with harassing a local family. It is alleged that Morden recently continued to harass 2 members of that same family. Ms. Morden will appear in bail court this morning.

A 44 year old woman was arrested after she was involved in a domestic dispute on Wednesday evening at approximately 9:00pm. The accused is alleged to have assaulted the victim by punching the victim in the face. The accused was also charged with mischief after she caused damage to the complainants apartment. The accused will appear in bail court this morning.

On May 14, 2014 city police arrested Daniel Dodds of the city of Sault Ste. Marie with four counts of fraud, four counts utter forged documents and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000. It is believed that Dodds did on four separate occasions cash stolen cheques at various banks in town between the dates of March 24 to April 1, 2014. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on June 16th.
