Friday morning UPDATE: Highway 17 is now open in both directions
OPP report that Highway 17 east near Thessalon is closed due to a motor vehicle collision.
Police say a detour is available Hwy 17 west to Hwy 546 to Hwy 639 to Hwy 108 to Hwy 17east. This is a very long detour and drivers should ensure they have adequate amount of fuel. It is not known how long the highway will be closed at
Hwy 17 – just West of Hwy 108 (East side) and Hwy 129 Thessalon (West side)
