(July 12, 1925 – March 25, 2014) – It is with profound sadness yet with a sense of comfort in the knowledge of an eternal life in Heaven that we announce the passing of our mother Alice Marie Nash (nee Giroux) on March 25, 2014 at the age of 88.
Predeceased by her husband Russ (1985) and daughter Nancy (2009), Alice is survived by her children Cheryl, Janie (Tony), Russ (Shelly) and Maureen (Mel). Also survived by her sisters Lorraine, Marita, Pierrette and Rosemarie and predeceased by brothers Sonny, Charles and sister Adele. Mom was also the grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 25.
We were truly blessed to have been raised by such a wonderful and caring person and her loss leaves a void that will be difficult to fill. “Matey” is now resting comfortably and safely in the arms of her beloved husband and it is this image that gives us a sense of peace and solace. Mom and Dad are together again.
Our family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to the caring staff of the 3rd Cedar Grove Wing of the F.J. Davey Home for all of the kindness and assistance you provided to our mother. The care and respect you afforded Mom is truly appreciated and will never be forgotten, with a special shout-out to “Betty & Turkey”.
Memorial Service to be celebrated from St, Gerard Majella Catholic Church on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10 am. Interment to follow.
