About 880 PUC customers in the east end last power for up to 3 hours Friday thanks to equipment failure according to the Sault Ste. Marie PUC
The outage that began at 4:30pm affected customers on Chambers east to Birchwood and from Kerr Drive south to Centennial Ave.
Crews managed to get most customers back on by 7:30pm
