Police responded to over 65 calls for service overnight including 3 bear calls.
It appears the “three legged bear” that police have been dealing with in the city’s east and north ends over the last 2 years now has two cubs.
This bear has an old injury but is fully mobile. The mother and cubs were on the hub trail at Third Line and at the Strathclair Field. A concerned citizen placed themselves in significant danger by approaching the mother bear because they thought it was injured.
Another bear was also seen in at yard at Queen St. East and Dacey Road.
