Sault Police Service has had a busy afternoon in the City’s Northern end today with both a broken down Tractor-Trailer congesting traffic on Great Northern Road heading South at the Second Line East intersection as well as a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Old Garden River Road and Third Line East. Both incidents happening at about the same time.
After speaking with the City Transit Bus Driver and a member of the Fire Services team on location, Sault Online was happy to hear there were no injuries sustained in this accident from either vehicle. The collision left the front of the City Transit bus damaged and the compact SUV had sustained more significant damage, coming to rest in the Southeast ditch at the intersection.
Emergency response personnel were observed checking over what appeared to be the driver of the SUV while a passenger from the same SUV (assumed) took advantage of an offer by the Sault Fire Services to use their mobile shower facilities.
