Passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2014 with family by his side.
Beloved husband of Valarie Blackburn for 43 years. Loving father of Mark Blackburn, Denise Richardson, Robert Blackburn, Tammy Duguay and Michael Blackburn (special daughter-in-law Michelle). Much loved Papa of Logan and Morgan Blackburn and Dylan & Tyler King. Dear brother of Kristin Smylie (Bob), Elna Laforge (late John), Barbara Halligan (late Merv), Elsie “Sam” Hagemeister (Max), Gunner Hult (Linda), Karl Hult (Helvi), Roger Blackburn, late Don Blackburn (Kathy), late Ingrid Brown and the late Marguerite Stuart. Uncle Jim will be missed by his nieces and nephews. Special friend of Jasmine his cat.
Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 10:30 – 12:30 pm with funeral service to follow in the chapel at 1 pm. Pastor John Faulkner officiating.
