Obituary-No-PhotoPeacefully surrounded by family at the F.J. Davey Home on Tuesday, June 24, 2014.

Beloved wife and dancing partner of the late Josef (1977). Loving mother of Linda Code (Bryan) and Rita Digby (Doug). Much loved Nana to Trish Code (Matthew Shallvey), Joe Digby (Jana) and Kyle Digby (Shannon). Great grandmother of Alex and Lauren Shallvey, Ayla and Matthew Digby and Maddie and Brayden Digby. Sister of Gretl Nesshold and other family members in Austria.

Mary and Joe came to Canada from Austria in 1950 with little more than each other and a sense of adventure. They worked hard and provided a wonderful life for their family. Mary was a wonderful cook, and avid gardener and she and Joe were generous hosts. She maintained her sense of humour to the end and had no regrets.

Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Funeral Service in the chapel at 2 pm. Rev. Phil Miller officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at the F.J. Davey home for their compassion at this difficult time.

You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn you back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
