Peacefully at the Mauno Kaihla Koti after a courageous battle with Dementia on Saturday June 21, 2014.
Beloved wife of Eero Liukkonen. Loving mother of Paula (Gord) and Roy (Susan). Grandmother of Tyler, Shayne and Calvin. Kerttu will be missed by many nieces, nephews and relatives in Finland.
A private family service will be held. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer’s Society, the Mauno Kaihla Koti or Phase 4, (a new senior’s independent living complex) would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to thank staff at the Finnish Rest Home; the PSW’s and nurses for all their care and compassion.
