On the 28th of June at approximately 1 am a homeowner on Alexandra Street reported hearing glass break and observed three males running from a residence. A second homeowner on Alexandra Street also called to report a break and enter, in which he startled the suspects, who fled the area. Officers attended at the scene and confirmed two break and enters. The suspects did take several items from one of the residents but did not obtain any property from the home in which the owner startled them. There is no description of the suspects at this time.
IMPAIRED POLICE CHASE
On the 29 June 2014 at 1:30 AM City Police were surprised to see a vehicle being driven without the front passenger tire on Korah Rd. It was not difficult to spot as sparks were flying behind the rim. Police turned to stop the vehicle and the driver attempted to duck down residential neighborhood streets.
Police pulled the vehicle over where the driver was found to be impaired by alcohol. It was also discovered the accused was on conditions not to have care or control of a motor vehicle and had a curfew to remain in his residence. His previous surety had requested to be removed as his guarantor because the accused was not abiding by his release order. He will be appearing in bail court on Monday at 10:00 AM. Charged is Ryan Young (age 21) of Woodcroft Ave.
Ryan Young has an address of 406 Woodcroft Avenue and his charges are two counts of breach of a recognizance, one count of impaired driving and one count of care and control.
BREAK AND ENTER
Over the weekend unknown thieves broke into a residence on Airport Rd. Once in the residence they stole several long guns, a television and some alcohol.
BREACH OF PROBATION
On June 29, 2014 at 6:00 pm Patrol Officers dealt with a 50 year old male who had violated two of his probation orders. The male was on domestic related probation orders not to be under the influence of alcohol when he was around his girlfriend. He was arrested and charged with four counts of Breach of Probation. He will appear in bail court on June 30th.
On June 29, 2014 at 6:35 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 24 year old male with four counts of Breach of Probation. The male is alleged to have violated his domestic related Probation Order by being with and communicating with his ex-girlfriend. He will appear in bail court on June 30th.
On June 29th at 4:20 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 28 year old male with Assault Causing Bodily Harm following a domestic related assault. The male assaulted his girlfriend by repeatedly striking her. She required medical attention for her injuries. He will appear in bail court on June 30th.
On June 29th, 2014 at 9:53 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 51 year old male following a domestic assault complaint. Officers learned that the male assaulted his common in law spouse on June 28th, 2014 and March 1st, 2013. The victim received minor injuries in the assaults that did not require medical attention. He will appear in bail court on June 30th.
On June 29th, 2014 at 11:35 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 29 year old male with domestic assault. The male had assaulted his girlfriend by striking her in the head. The victim did not require medical attention. The male was also on a Recognizance of Bail not to be with the victim or be consuming alcohol. He was subsequently charged with two counts of Breach of Recognizance. He will appear in bail court on June 30th.
On June 29th at 7:00 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged Karly Boucher, age 22 of 70 East St with Theft under $5,000.00 following a shoplifting incident at Joe’s No Frills on Second Line West. She will appear in court on July 28th.
BREACH OF UNDERTAKING
On June 30th at 1:10 am Patrol Officers found a 19 year old female in the company of male she was on release conditions not to be with. Her original charges were domestic related. She was arrested and charged with Breach of Undertaking. She will appear in bail court on June 30th.
On June 30th at 2:00 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 22 year old for domestic related Breach of Probation. The male was on court imposed conditions not to be with a female he was found with. He will appear in bail court on June 30th.
