The City of Sault Ste. Marie Public Works and Transportation Department would like to advise the public that spring painting of roadway intersections by local contractors, and line painting by Public Works crews has begun. Traffic delays can be expected during painting and the public is urged to exercise caution, obeying signage. Please help keep our workers safe.
If a motorist disregards posted signs and drives through recently painted lines, paint will permanently adhere to the vehicle.
The City uses a water-based latex material for intersection and line painting that is safe for employees and the environment.
