Three important lessons I learned today at Musicfest X XI

MusicFest XXI - Bratwurst, Beer & Beethoven

Musicfest X XI has promised to deliver bratwurst, beer and Beethoven, but as I discovered this afternoon, much more is to be gained by making the trek to the Roberta Bondar Pavillion on this beautiful Sunday.  As of the time of writing, there’s still time to experience the many vendors, have your face painted, or just chill with some delicious BBQ and listen to the talent gracing the main stage.

As I’m taking a quick time-out to post this article, I’m enjoying this downtime to reflect on what I’ve learned today at the Musicfest:

  1. Today is warm but windy.  If you’re going to have your child’s face painted and he or she has long hair, it’d be wise to bring a hair elastic, hat, or a scrunchie.
  2. No one thinks it’s funny if you jokingly order a beer ticket for a 10 year old.
  3. No one thinks it’s funny if you ask to have sunglasses painted on your face as a 34 year old dude.

Get down to the Pavillion and take advantage of this incredible event.  We’d love to see and share any pictures taken; send us a shot or two on Instagram!
