On the 14th of June at 9:55pm City Police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver northbound on Great Northern Road. Officers located the vehicle and noted that the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. As a result of the investigation 73 year old Tuomo Vuorela of 721 North Street was arrested and charged with Refusing to Provide a Breath Sample. He will appear in court on July 14th, 2014.
On the 15th of June at 12:10am City Police were conducting a RIDE Program. Officers checked a vehicle and noted that the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. As a result of the investigation 62 year old Edward Schill of 202 Wellington Street East was arrested and charged with Impaired operation and over .80. He will appear in court on July 21st, 2014.
