Henry Najeensh Angeconeb returned home to the Creator peacefully on Wednesday July 16, surrounded by love and his family and in his 67th year.
Beloved husband of Elizabeth Angeconeb, and loving father to Kathy Stevens (Curtis), Keith (Christine Frenette), Heather (Steve Jordan), James, and Germaine Catchpole (Charles). Shomiss to Julaine Trudeau, Mathew Beardy, Brittany Gingras, Donald Angeconeb, Elizabeth Angeconeb, Charis, Thane, and Leah Stevens, Jacob and Helena Jordan. Dear brother to the late Don Angeconeb (Emily), Lucy Gray (Harry), Juliette Blackhawk, Duncan Angeconeb (Rita), Ahmoo Angeconeb, Nora Angeconeb (Mervin), the late Marcel Angeconeb (Liza), and Linda Skead (Patrick). Dear brother-in-law to John Trudeau (Connie), Germaine Elliott (late Butch), the late Julian Trudeau (Mary), and Maureen McLeod (Kurtis). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friend and teacher to our community.
Henry will be remembered for the love of his family, his knowledge of the Anishinaabe way of life, his beautiful art work and his unwavering faith in God. His beautiful smile that crinkled his eyes will never be forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Shingwauk Chapel at 1550 Queen Street East on Friday, July 18th from 6:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. Najeensh will be laid to rest in Lac Seul, Ontario in his home community of Whitefish Bay.
