On the 12th of July shortly after 1 pm a neighbour on John Street observed two suspicious males walking in his neighbour’s backyard. He noted that the males had several items in their arms and approached them and asked them what they were doing. The males fled the area and the police were called.
Upon their arrival officers found that the residence had been entered and several items, including electronics and cash, were taken. Police Service Dog Justice attended in an attempt to locate the males but was unsuccessful. Officers from Patrol Services continued to work on the break and enter.
As a result of their investigation a warrant was requested for 37-year old Kerry Mearow of 2 Wallace Terrace, Apartment 1. Mr. Mearow was located just after midnight this morning and taken into custody without incident. He has been charged with one count of break and enter and one count of breach of probation. He will appear in bail court this morning.
