Team Trembinski Speed Skating is hosting a fundraiser benefit on July 30th to raise funds for up and coming local speed skater Gary Trembinski. In the short three years Gary has been speed skating, he has made tremendous strides towards his ultimate goal of making the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Gary has qualified and been accepted into the prestigious Oval Program in Calgary, Alberta. This is the program Canada uses to train its up and coming national team athletes. Being in the Oval Program provides Gary with the best coaching and surrounds himself with the best athletes in the country. However, with world-class amenities comes a high cost.
The fundraiser will be held at the Marconi Club on Wednesday, July 30th 2014 with doors opening at 6pm. Tickets are $25 and includes a pizza dinner as well as an entry into the door prize draw. There will be a cash bar as well as many prizes available to be won. All proceeds go towards Gary Trembinski’s speed skating expenses for the 2014-2015 season.
