Beginning Monday, July 7, 2014, client bookings for the Sault Ste. Marie Transit Parabus may be made up to 2 weeks in advance. There will be no priority service for medical, employment and school bookings.
During the first two weeks of the booking transition period, starting Monday, July 7 until Friday, July 18, bookings for registered clients will be limited to 2 reservations per phone call, and one call per client per day. As always, bookings will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
“We anticipate a very high volume of calls, as well as longer call times during the transition period so I encourage our Parabus customers to please be patient for the first few weeks,” says Don Scott, Sault Transit and Parking Manager.
Advantages to the new booking procedure:
- Increased flexibility for all reservation types
- Reduced telephone wait times for clients calling between 8:30 – 10 a.m.
- Potential reduction in call time per client booking
