There’s now four candidates for the top job on council. Heather Cook, a mother of three grown children and a grand mother of one, talked first to Saultonline.com about why she’s running for Mayor and the problems she sees in this city.
Cook, an educational assistant with the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board has grown disenfranchised with how the city is run and the priorities of the current Mayor and council.
“We need jobs, we need young people to stay here” Cook said.
The first-time candidate believes assisting companies and industries to relocate and build in the Sault should be the number one thing on the minds at those at city hall.
