On Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at approximately 2:20 p.m., members of the Superior East Chapleau Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 129 approximately 60 km south of Chapleau.
Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI), Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and assisting motorist were on scene to assist with the investigation.
As a result, police had to close Highway 129 in both directions.
The identity of the deceased female is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation is ongoing.
