On the 24th of July 2014 at 12:05 am police received a report of a Break and Enter in progress in the 600 block of McNabb Street.
Upon arrival police apprehended a male exiting the break and enter location. Charged with Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property is 23 year old Tyler Pelletier of 30 Wellington Street East. He will appear in bail court on the 24th of July 2014.
Window Smashed
At 2:00 am police responded to a report of mischief to a window at the Indian Friendship Center on East Street. Police located and arrested 47 year old Joseph Sutherland of 99 Letcher Street for mischief for smashing a window valued at approximately $300. He will appear in court on August 25th, 2014.
Break-In In Progress
Just after 12 noon yesterday City Police attended in the 500 block of Parliament Street after receiving a 911 call regarding a break and enter. Upon arrival officers learned that the homeowner had returned home and entered their residence through the front door. As they entered their residence a male ran out the side door of the home. A neighbour observed the male leaving the residence and alerted the homeowner who called police.
Several officers attended in the area as well as Police Service Dog Justice who attempted to track the suspect with negative results. The only description of the male is that he tall and lanky and was wearing a white t-shirt and a blue ball cap.
It does not appear that anything was taken.
