efully on Friday, July 4, 2014 in her 87th year.
Beloved wife of the late Stanley Merrett. Loving mother of Chris (Mary) and Ron (Wendy). She was the cherished grandmother of Grace and Alastair Merrett, and John (Julie) and Rebekah Brule (Gilles). She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy Parr (late Claude), and her brothers Gordon MacInnes and Douglas MacInnes (Barbara). She is survived by her brother James (Dawn) MacInnes and sister Marilyn Turmaine (Phil). She will also be fondly remembered by two great grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews.
She was born in Leeburn, Ontario in 1927. She moved to Sault Ste. Marie to work as a bookkeeper at Algoma Steel and John Ray’s Bookkeeping. She loved to travel having visited Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa. While she treasured world travel, she truly loved her family, her church, many friends, and the beauty of the northern Ontario landscape near Leeburn and Diamond Lake. Respecting Edna’s wishes, a private family service will be held.
