On the 17 July 2014 at about 9:50 PM City Police responded an outdoor area in Jamestown where it was reported two men became embroiled in an argument. The argument escalated to the point that one of the men was stabbed. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. A male suspect was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted murder.
Investigators later learned that the victim had succumbed to his injuries while in hospital; as a result the accused now stands charged with murder. The accused is being held in police custody at this time.
Names of the victim and accused are being withheld pending notification of kin.
Police are not releasing any other information at this time. Investigation Services continue to work on this case. It is believed that this is not a random act of violence.
