Peacefully at ARCH on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, George Winston Roberts of Sylvan Valley passed away.
Much loved husband of Elda Mary (Jones), loving father of Alford and Andrew (Jocelyn) of Sylvan Valley and Ruth Anne Coyne (Brian) or Espanola. Grandfather of Grant, Jessica, Justin (Lindsay), Robert, Ryan, Jillian, Peyton, Cameron (Grandpa’s big helper) and Elgin. Son of the late Alford and Edith Roberts. Brother of Gail Bouteiller (Bob) and the late Marilyn Joy. Brother-in-law of late Elgin (late Marilyn), late Velvie (late Bud), Bessie (late Rusty) (late Charlie), late Tom (Marg), Don (Karen), and John (Audrey). George will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
For many years, George managed the Lafarge cement plant in Thessalon. His favourite way of life was farming.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering for family, friends and community will be held on Friday July 18th from 2pm-4pm at the Sylvan Valley Hall.
