Sault Ste. Marie OPP Marine Unit responded to a vessel in distress on Sunday afternoon at approximately 2:30 pm near Batchewana Bay.
The vessel had four adults and one child on board. The vessel had hit a rock and the motor became disabled. The owner was able to call police with his cell phone.
OPP Marine Unit responded and towed the vessel and occupants safely to shore.
