On the 1st of August shortly after 8 pm City Police attended at the intersection of Trunk Road and South Market Street for a motor vehicle collision.
It is alleged that a car that was east bound on Trunk Road failed to stop for the red light at South Market and then drove over the median striking a traffic control post before coming to a stop. Investigation revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
As a result 39-year old Caterina Assunta of 2041 A Line, Richards Landing was charged with one count of consume over the legal limit. She will appear in court on September 8th.
