Yesterday afternoon City Police attended at Sears in the Station Mall after receiving a call from the loss prevention officers regarding a suspicious male in the store.

On the 3rd of August loss prevention officers reviewed surveillance video from the store and confirmed that a male had stolen a 32 inch Sony Bravia LED television valued at $529. City Police were called at that time but the identity of the male was unknown. The patrol officer shared the surveillance footage with other officers at the police station to see if he could be identified.

Yesterday afternoon the same male re-attended at Sears and again picked up a Sony Bravia television from the display area. Loss prevention officers recognized him and watched him. The male allegedly removed the television, but it is believed he realized he was being watched and hid the television at the end of a row in several stock items.

Police arrived just as the male was headed down the escalator. The patrol officer recognized the male as being the same male who had stolen the television on the 3rd. The male was taken into custody without incident.

Jordan TEED of not fixed address has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and will appear in bail court this morning.
