Power Lost Briefly to over 1,000 Homes Monday

Power Failure

About 1110 homes were without power for a brief time Monday morning. The Sault Ste. Marie PUC report an unplanned power outage in the areas of Peoples Rd & Penno Subdivision, west to Farewell Terrace & Second Line West, north to Third Line West. The cause was equipment failure on Penno Road.

Power went out at 10:41 and restored to most homes about 10:55. About 132 homes were still without power but have since been restored at around 11:30am
