50 Sault Ste. Marie Police officers took the challenge! The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge of course which was issued to the Sault Police Services from the Thunder Bay Police Services earlier this week.
Not to be outdone, even Police Chief Robert Keetch took the challenge in his own way – in a dunking booth filled with ice cold water. In fact, this may have been the largest Ice Bucket Challenge in the Sault to date.
Now. as with all ALS Challenges, the Police Services nominated three other groups. The Sault Fire Services, The Sault Ste. Marie OPP and the local Paramedics.
After the chilly buckets of ice dropped, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Association handed over a cheque for $1,250 plus another $200 from the Sault Police Services.
