On September 24, City Police attended at 1587 Trunk Rd #11 after receiving information that a male was there and was wanted for failing to attend court in relation to a possession of stolen property charge. As a result 41 year old Luke Leblanc of the same address was arrested and charged accordingly. He will now be appearing in bail court on September 25, 2014 at 10:00 am.
Failing to Appear
On September 24, 2014 Derick Nadeau age 37 of 276 Doncaster St. was checked by Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P. officers during a traffic stop. The check revealed that the accused was wanted on a warrant by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service for failing to appear court in relation to a charge of theft under $5000. The accused was arrested and is now scheduled to appear in court on October 27, 2014 at 9:00 am
Shoplifting
A 17 year old male was arrested at Canadian Tire after being observed by store security stealing 4 Sharpie Markers. He will be appearing in court on October 28, 2014 at 9:30 am.
A 17 year old male was arrested at Walmart in the station mall after being observed by store security stealing a box of DVD’s. He will be appearing in court on October 21, 2014 at 9:30 am.
On September 24, 2014 at approximately 6:30 pm a female allegedly was observed stealing goods from 3 different stores in the Station Mall at 293 Bay Street. An attempt by a manager of one of the stores to apprehend the female was futile but the female was identified and known to City Police. At approximately 11:00 pm the accused Loretta Suzanne Carey, age 33 of 161 Carufel Avenue, #2 was located by police and arrested for theft under $5000 X 3 and is scheduled to appear in court on October 27, 2014 at 9:00 am.
