42nd Season Kicks Off With a Viennese Ambiance


In a single evening, experience an era of Old World royalty, and 18th century European charm, as the Sault Symphony Orchestra proudly presents ‘A Night in Old Vienna’ to open their 42nd Season. Presenting some of the best pieces to come out of Vienna, the Orchestra has answered to the requests for a Viennese style ball over the years, and is happy to be able to deliver this rousing selection of polkas, waltzes and marches for attendees.

A Night in Old Vienna will be presented this Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the Soo Theatre in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. This evening will feature the music of Johann Strauss, Jr. with other selections by Johannes Brahms, Fritz Kreisler and Antonín Dvořák. In addition, there will be solos by Anya Mallinger, violin, and Karen Beacom, soprano. As audience members take in the ambiance, near the end of the performance, there will be an opportunity for audience members to dance to the accompaniment of the Symphony.

A Night in Old Vienna will be performed Saturday September 27, 2014, starting at 8:00 pm at the Soo Theatre, located at 534 Ashmun Street in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Tickets are $38 for Adults/Seniors and $15 for Students/Youth.
