She is survived by her loving soul mate Phil Aymar, parents Susan and Bill Barley, sister Tracy (Paul) Herold, nephew Brady Viau, brother Doug Langstaff, grandmother Irja Cousins, Phil’s parents John and Madeline Aymar and Phil’s siblings , Robert (Nicolene) Aymar, Jeanne (Tom) Cornell, David Aymar, Tom (Sharon) Aymar, William Aymar, Mary (Tom) Chessman, James Aymar, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, her loyal canine companion Ringo, and cats Charlotte and Millie. She was predeceased by her sister Andrea Barley, grandparents Helen and Joseph Pryndik, Thomas Cousins, and cousin Christopher Cousins.
Jeanna was born in Thunder Bay, raised in Ear Falls, spent a number of years in Thunder Bay where her caring and compassionate nature led her to a career in nursing. She graduated from Confederation College as a Registered Practical Nurse, then moved to Sault Ste. Marie where she graduated from Sault College as a Registered Nurse. She worked at the Finnish Rest Home and then at the Sault Area Hospital. Jeanna enjoyed being in the outdoors, walking her dog Ringo at Bellevue Park, spending time fishing and hiking. She had a passion for music and she loved to cook and entertain. She was very compassionate to animals and adopted her pets from the Humane Society. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd from 5 to 8 pm at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758). A private family interment will follow at a later date.
