On the 26th of September 2014 at approximately 3:07 pm Patrol Officers attended a residence in the 200 block of Brown Street with regards to a firearm complaint.
Patrol officers with the assistance of Detectives from Investigation Services commenced an investigation into this complaint and subsequently obtained a search warrant for the residence. Recovered from the residence was a 12 gauge sawed off shotgun and a quantity of cannabis marihuana.
Charged is a 16 year old youth with Breach of an Undertaking, Possession of a firearm dangerous to the public peace, careless storage of a prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm without being a holder of a licence, possessing a prohibited firearm together with ready accessible ammunition, Possession of Cannabis Marihuana for the purpose of Trafficking under the Control Drug and Substance Act.
The youthful offender will appear in Wash Court this morning the 27th of September 2014.
