This morning at approximately 7:50am officers attended a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of McNabb Street and Willow Avenue.
Investigation revealed that a mini-van that was east bound on McNabb making a left hand turn northbound onto Willow turned in front of a west bound SUV and a collision occurred within the intersection. After the initial collision the SUV continued west bound, struck the curb and rolled over.
As a result of the collision both vehicles were severely damaged. The driver of the SUV was transported to hospital with serious but non- life threatening injuries.
The driver of the van 56 year old Carolyn O’Connor of Goulias River has been charged with Left Turn – fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid collision under the Highway Traffic Act.
