Power Outage

Sault Ste. Marie PUC responded to an unplanned power outage affecting close to 1,000 homes Thursday morning in the Florwin & Thornloe east to Drake, Bennett south to Queen St East, Bennett north to Caesar areas.

PUC say equipment failure was the cause, when 263 homes lost power at 8:10am. An additional 594 homes lost power as a safety measure as crews restored power. All homes have been restored as of 8:44am
