On October 19, 2014 Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to call on Highway 556 on the Ranger Lake Road.
A passing motorist who had stopped at an area on Ranger Lake road observed a small red car at the bottom of a 200 foot (60 metre) ravine.
Investigation revealed the 2001 Chrysler Neon had been reported stolen to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service in 2006.
Evidence suggested the vehicle had been there for a considerable amount of time.
Arrangements are being made to have the vehicle removed.
