Sault Police Arrest

On October 25, 2014 City Police were called to the Canadian Tire Store to assist security with a young person, age 17 that had allegedly stolen a knife from sporting goods and left the store.

Security apprehended the accused outside the store. The accused resisted arrest and then assaulted the Security officer by pushing and attempting to bite the officer.

Police attended and arrested the accused for theft under $5000, resist arrest and assault. A check of the accused was done and it was found the accused was on an undertaking with one of the conditions not to possess any weapons including a knife.

A further charge of breach of undertaking was added. The accused will appear in court on December 2, 2014 at 9:30 am.
