The Algoma District School Board (ADSB) advises parents in the North and East areas of the Algoma District that notice has been received of a significant Ontera outage which affects network access and in some cases phone lines.
This is affecting specific Ontera online services and there is no web access, internet, email or phone in some cases. According to Ontera this outage is expected to be a day long situation.
This will impact Algoma District School Board elementary and secondary schools, offices and Adult Education centres in:
• Hornepayne
• Chapleau
• Missanabie
• Wawa
• Central Algoma (Desbarats, Echo Bay, St. Joseph Island, Bruce Mines)
• North Shore (Thessalon, Iron Bridge, Blind River)
• Elliot Lake and Spanish.
Algoma District School Board Senior Administration confirms that all schools in the affected areas are open and running classes as usual.
