Mayor Debbie Amaroso explains the value of the event saying, “We are pleased to have Professor
Robert Solomon join us in Sault Ste. Marie to share valuable information on seniors’ rights protection
and financial preparedness. As the citizens of our community age, it is important that they receive
insight into how they can protect their life-long investments and what options they have to do so.”
Professor Solomon is currently on the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario and has
been involved in research and teaching on health care, civil liability and criminal law for almost 40
years. He has served as a consultant to Health and Welfare Canada, the Law Reform Commission of
Canada, the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse, and the Commonwealth of Australia Health
