Investigators from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Investigation Services Section have charged a male with two counts of aggravated sexual assault.
It is alleged that between July 2013 and October 2014 the accused had unprotected sex with two adult females and failed to disclose to either victim that he was HIV positive.
On Friday October 24, 2014 investigators charged 25-year old Nicholas Goodchild of Sault Ste. Marie with two counts of aggravated sexual assault.
The accused appeared in bail court on October 26, 2014.
Investigators feel that there may be more victims as the accused is known to have accessed on- line dating sites. Any potential victim or anyone with information is asked to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 705-949-6300 ext 288 to speak to investigators.
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service along with Algoma Public Health is urging anyone who had sexual relations with Nicholas Goodchild to seek medical attention.
