Ward 1 Councillor, Paul Christian, is discontinuing his door to door campaign visits effective immediately. This decision was made as result of his mother’s sudden and ongoing deteriorating health. Councillor Christian’s mother was admitted to Sault Area Hospital on October 9th.
“The last two weeks have been extremely difficult for my family. I tried my best to manage both my election and family responsibilities. It is clear that I must turn my focus to my mother and my family”.
Councillor Christian is committed to his constituents and is asking people to contact him by phone or email if they have questions, comments or concerns regarding the election or ward matters.
“I know Ward 1 constituents will be understanding. I want to make it clear that I am in the race, I simply won’t be knocking on doors for the remainder of the campaign; as I always have.”
“My family and I would like to express our thanks to the many neighbors, friends and constituents who have offered support during this very difficult time. We also want to send a special thank you to Sault Area Hospital and ARCH staff for caring so compassionately for my mother.”
Councillor Christian can be contacted by phone at 705 946 3619, by email at [email protected] and through his Facebook page.
