The walking dead took over the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre Saturday to eat some brains and just cause havoc for the day.
The annual Zombie Walk presented by the Art’s Council of Sault Ste. Marie brings out the monsters each October now attracting well over 200 participants including families.
“It has really grown since it’s inception” Lisa Vezeau-Allen, CEO of the Art’s Council said.
The event was expanded last year to include more families by hosting games and entertainment during the day. The walk itself, through parts of the downtown area began at 5pm. Zombies make their way back to the Bushplane Centre for the closing ceremonies. Donations are made to the Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen from the event.
