In honour of this year’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Algoma Family Services will be hosting an art exhibit and gala on November 20, 2014 at the Algoma University Downtown Residence (formerly Windsor Park).
The “End the Silence” exhibit will be on display from 12:00PM – 9:00PM, with the free gala portion taking place at 6:00PM. The exhibit features the work of women and children who have experienced abuse. Their art often symbolizes the journey they experience as they move from hurt to healing.
The gala will include refreshments, local speakers, and music. Hot chocolate, coffee, and tea will also be served for those who wish to get warm during Moonlight Magic.
