Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste Marie and Area is seeking applications for the next Habitat Home in the spring of 2015. Those interested in partnering with Habitat for Humanity to purchase a home with no-down-payment, 0% interest and geared to income mortgage payments are encouraged to attend the information session on Saturday, November 8th at 4:30pm in the ReStore (32 White Oak Drive East, enter at the corner of North Street and Second Line).

Habitat for Humanity builds homes in partnership with low income, hardworking families in our community. We raise funds, and families invest 500 hours in the construction of their home. Families then repay a 0% interest, no down payment, geared to income mortgage to Habitat over time. These mortgage payments cycle back into our Fund for Humanity and fund future builds. This sustainable funding model- combined with fundraising efforts and ReStore revenues- will allow us to grow our capacity to build 3 homes per year by 2018, offering a hand up to more local families in need of safe, decent, affordable homes.
